Today my self care comes in the form of food/nutrients. I am going to break this down into two groups – one regarding supplements and one regarding how to make meals easy to prep and enjoyable. We will only focus on the supplemental part of โfoodโ for today – keeping it simple. The reason I consider food to be self care is because it is, and so much moreโฆ Food equates to love – food is a symbol of love when you feed yourself/family. You are expressing nurturing and love for your/their well-being, so when you cook or eat, do it with love. After all you are nourishing your body so that it can do wondrous things for you. I do not believe in diets – and rather believe in intuitive eating – but lets not complicate things. Thatโs all for another day. I only eat two WHOLE (real food) meals a day, a snack and a supplemental meal. When it comes to supplements, there are so many choices out there – that you have to do your homework and read your labels. Itโs not easy to trust the supplement companies as there is no regulation when it comes to supplements and companies can say one thing and do another when it comes to what they really are actually putting into their supplements. There are many fillers and BS in the majority of supplements – so one more time – do your research and read the labels. Little plug here – I did find a company I 100% trust, Live Ultimate – the cleanest and purest supplements, organic, non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, you name itโฆ AND they third party test. This is really important to create no bias and make sure there are no harmful ingredients in the products. Anyhow, I regress yet again. I found and researched this particular brand, especially because of how clean and pure they are AND because I didnโt need a 100 bottles of supplements for getting the nutrients my body needs.
