My Why…

I am driven do this work because when I learned the EU bans more than 1400 commonly found ingredients in personal care products vs the USA’s ban on 30, I couldn’t fathom WHY we are so behind, why our government doesn’t have stricter regulation…why that was okay?
The last time a federal law was passed to regulate the beauty industry was in 1938!
I am motivated to do this work because when I was pregnant with my kiddos, I wanted to make sure I was doing my best for them. I began to research and went on a mission to reduce the potentially harmful products we buy and use in our home and on our bodies.

And even back then it wasn’t enough…we didn’t have enough access to ‘clean’ studies and effective alternatives. Most were sadly lacking in performance…until I found Beautycounter.
I am motivated to do this work because I want to be able to contribute financially to my family in a way that is meaningful and positive – and I want to do it with the flexibility that best fits my family’s needs.
I am inspired to do this work because I want my friends and family (and their friends and family) to know that there are SAFER and EFFECTIVE products available, from a company that practices what it preaches,

a company that cares not just about it’s customers, but the environment too. I am motivated to do this work because I believe in the mission of Beautycounter: to get safer products into the hands of EVERYONE.
I am continually inspired to do this work because I am supported and encouraged by a community of women who all have their own reasons for doing this work.
I love doing this work- and you can do it too. If you’ve got a story to tell, don’t be shy to use your voice because your voice matters in this movement #BETTERBEAUTY
