
Summer is around the corner, and let’s be honest here, it should not be our main motivator to looking good in a bikini. Rather use it as a spring (see what I did there?) board to get healthy and maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle.
Currently I am enjoying spring break with my family in Florida and it’s no easy feat being on vacation and still maintaining that healthy lifestyle – so many choices, so many temptations, that regular diets just go out the window.
A week away with my family has been just what we all needed! Of course I’ve been checking in but I’ve also been able to really take a step back, relax and just be – which is what I really needed! Spring break always seems to come at just the right time and I’m very grateful for this time with my family.
While away, I have and will be….
Keeping my fast. It’s the easiest thing for me to maintain while away and keeps me burning fat!
Exercising. Whether it’s a traditional workout in the gym or hotel room or a walk on the beach, swim in the ocean, a run, or playing with my kids – I have found movement everyday.
Prioritize whole foods. When I can, I try to choose the foods that make me feel good. The ones that come from the ground or have a mother.
I will and have ENJOYed! What’s a vacation without a few cocktails/glass of vino or some fun foods? I will definitely be partaking in those and then getting home and right back to my normal routine! It’s vacation after all – so I plan on enjoying and having fun!
And while I’ve still got a couple days left, I know I’ll be ready to get back on track when I get home. Back to my own routine, workouts, and meals. But as you know, there’s no guilt here – only fun memories.
So that’s the thing…
FASTer Way isn’t a diet, its a way of life and you can still eat well, indulge on spring break and continue on. One of my friends said it perfectly… “in the past, I have let one special meal become a week’s worth of meals…but with FASTer Way I get to enjoy my special meal and get right back on the whole food macro train…” I am sure we can all relate to this – the guilt we feel, the need to do more exercise to compensate for that extra meal, the need to eliminate more calories because of that extra meal – but I want you to know, it doesn’t have to be that way AND I can show you how.
